PRODUCTION OF NATIONAL RECRUITMENT VIDEOS

Section 1:  Brother Bruce D. Frail, PDC, is Chairman of the SUVCW National Committee on Promotion and Marketing, and his Committee is launching an initiative to produce short video recordings of Brothers that will be used as a tool for recruiting new Brothers.

Section 2:  His Committee has agreed that, for the purpose of recruitment and especially recruitment of younger Brothers, emphasis will be placed on producing video recordings of Brothers who fall in the 20 to 35-year-old age range.  At the same time, the Committee felt strongly that it is equally important to capture the perspective of Brothers who have been members of SUVCW for 50 or more years.

Section 3:  Brother Frail’s Committee is asking our Department to identify from within our respective Department Brothers who meet these criteria and who are willing to be interviewed “on-camera” and comfortable doing so. Ideally, his Committee would like to have no more than five Brothers from each Department who meet the criteria of 20 to 35 years of age and as many of the 50+ SUVCW members as possible.

Section 4:  Even though this request is being made by the National Committee on Promotion and Marketing, their purpose is to provide a tool to increase recruitment. Regulations for the SUVCW under Chapter II, Article VI, Section 3 states that “The purpose of the office of Junior Vice Commander is to assist with recruitment and retention of Brothers (Members, Associates, and Juniors). Therefore, I’m asking our Junior Vice Department Commander Henry C. Duquette, PCC to work with Committee Chairman Bruce D. Frail, PDC and with members of our Department to identify and provide Brothers for promotional video interviews.

Section 5:  Once Junior Vice Commander Duquette, PCC identifies our list of Department Brothers, he will send to Committee Chair Frail, PDC their names, age range (i.e., 20 to 35 or member for 50+ years), email addresses and telephone numbers so that a member of his Committee can reach out to them to schedule interviews. The Committee asks our that our Department provide this information by the 1st of August 2020.
